Natasha:

Hi there and welcome to the Cardcast. I'm so glad you're here. I'm Natasha and I'm here to share a daily practice. I love pulling an oracle card and interpreting it through the lens of my life. My goal is to help you see oracle cards as a tool for noticing and anchoring throughout your day. So take a deep breath, pull up a chair and let's see what the cards have to say.

Natasha:

Today's card is from the Obsidian Veil deck by Erethereal and our card is Boudica, and it says though we may be outnumbered, our spirit shall never be conquered. And it has a very cool I would say is the best way to describe it image of Boudicca with a sword that she's holding above her head, and then beneath her are, I would say, two adversaries, but they have skulls for heads. So we have the sword held above her head, kind of signifying what's already on the card. You know, our spirit shall never be conquered. We can overcome darkness and all these other pieces. And then, if I also think about, like what do we know about Boudicca being the leader of the Iceni tribe? She led a massive uprising against the Roman Empire, one of the largest for the time, and, considering the resources and troops that she didn't have versus what they did have. She's this symbol of resistance and of independence and of courage, and this, I think, relates to so many things going on in my life and likely in so many of our lives. Where do we fight and when do we fight, and how hard do we fight? And whether that's fighting for a relationship, fighting for a cause, fighting for a group of people, fighting for ourselves, all those different things. And even on the card, when it says, though we may be outnumbered, nothing can stand against something that's relentless, and sometimes, if you are the relentless thing, then eventually things will break in your favor. Oftentimes, however, it's the external things that are relentless, because they're bigger and stronger and just more powerful in having that warrior spirit, that fighting spirit. That piece of this is something that will not and cannot stand, and something needs to be done. And why? Why do I feel like something needs to be done? Why was this put on my heart? Because maybe I'm the one who's supposed to do something about it, who's supposed to impact this change.

Natasha:

What's unique about all of us is that we are the same in us all having a lot of things going on at once. We have things in our communities. We have things in the world, we have things internally, we have things in our families and in our jobs and in our teams, and we all have those things going on all the time. It's rare that everything is running smoothly all at the same time, and it's not uncommon for multiple things to be out of sync at the same time, for multiple things to be out of sync at the same time. Where are those places where we can show up and be courageous?

Natasha:

And that doesn't mean leading people into battle. It can, it certainly can, but it can also mean having a courageous or a difficult conversation and being the one to initiate that, to make sure that something moves forward. We have courage in those moments because it's something that we care about, it's a person that we care about, a project that we care about, we're showing care and that's why we get so passionate and so sometimes angry, and we can absolutely harness those things into making something better. But it's that courage piece that has to go along with it to ensure that we get it done in the best way possible that sees the best outcomes for the most people.

Natasha:

So, while today's card is a beautiful card, it did not have all of the different types of symbolism that I normally like to walk through, but I wanted to still do it because Boudicca is she herself, was and is a symbol of so many things to so many different people. So, with that, what comes to mind for you? That's all for today's card. For more insights and pictures of the cards, you can find me on Instagram and YouTube I'll see you in the next episode.
