Natasha:

Hi there and welcome to the Cardcast. I'm so glad you're here. I'm Natasha and I'm here to share a daily practice. I love pulling an oracle card and interpreting it through the lens of my life. My goal is to help you see oracle cards as a tool for noticing and anchoring in your day. So take a deep breath, pull up a chair and let's see what the cards have to say. Today's card is from the Sacred Rebels Oracle Guidance for Living a Unique and Authentic Life by Alana Fairchild, and I'm pretty excited about the specific card that I pulled.

Natasha:

The card is called Come to Life and it is so rich with symbols, so let me break those down to start. So we have a woman who is sitting on a checkered floor and she has kind of all around her are butterflies. Butterflies are an incredible symbol of metamorphosis, creativity, poetry. And then on one of her shoulders there's a crow or a raven who represents states of consciousness. There's also a monkey that's holding a little jar of paint. Monkeys represent the collective and group energy and social relations. And then around her right arm there is a snake who's coiled around her arm, and snakes typically mean healing and represent beliefs and our innermost being. For some people. They also represent scary things, right? It's something they don't want to interact with. Like I had mentioned before, symbols can mean different things to different people. Now, in this image, she is also. She has a paintbrush in her right hand and that paint that the monkey is holding she is actually painting kind of up the side of her leg, and I think this is such a cool reminder that so she's the one who's doing the painting, right? She is essentially bringing herself back to life through, whether it's through art, very obviously represented by a paintbrush and paint, or whether it's through working on different parts of yourself, and then the fact that it's in her right hand, which is the hand that the snake is coiled around, and also the same shoulder that that crow or raven is on. It is that those healing, those beliefs, that innermost being, these states of consciousness. So this person is very actively engaging in this healing and this internal journey, and it's represented by hey, I'm going to work on this part.

Natasha:

Sometimes we think that if we have this opportunity to, if I could just go on a 10 day meditation retreat, or if I could just go do this type of thing, I'm going, my whole, I, my whole self, will change. I will be completely changed, be a new person, the person I always wanted to be and maybe that's true. So I don't want to take that away from anyone. And most of the time because change isn't just a one-time thing, especially our own, for our own growth and mental wellbeing, we have to work on it in pieces and typically the piece that is screaming at us the loudest or that hurts the most is the part that does need that focus. But if we start to think, oh, I need to do all of the things all at once, I have to heal my whole body, my whole mind will get stuck or we won't do it right Because that's way too big. There's that saying how do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time? When it comes to healing, when it comes to growth, it truly is a one bite at a time situation.

Natasha:

For me, this card definitely resonates because there is an aspect of my life and I won't get too deep into it but there's an aspect of my life that I am working really hard on right now and I felt like when I jumped into it it should have been like oh, this thing got all my focus and so it's fixed right, like it got all that effort, it got all that focus. So we're done, I did it, solved. But I think also what this card is pointing me to is like when you paint something, it's not just a few brush strokes and it's done. Even if you're painting a blank wall and you're just painting like an accent wall, it's going to take multiple coats, it's going to take more time than you think it's going to take. So I do appreciate, like that point out there.

Natasha:

But then also in this, she has a lot of little critters around her that are supporting that journey and so, to remember the support system that you do have around you, each of these animals in this image represents something different and so we can lean on different people and different resources for different things and that can help us complete the painting, complete the healing of that part and to move through to the other side. I think, if we look outside of that, I don't know that I can relate this to any one thing, because it feels like it's inherent in so many things. Also, with the image, the part that she's painting is in kind of a light color, but the rest of it is in black and white, which could really indicate that this is a personal journey. This is a personal thing. You decide which part you want to heal. Maybe it's the most painful or the one that's screaming the loudest, maybe that one feels too big. So you start with something else, but you are working on something. You are doing something to kind of keep it moving forward.

Natasha:

So to me it also points to the how personal these types of things can be, and sometimes you want to tell others and talk about it, and sometimes you don't. But again, that's, it's yours. So I brought up a lot of different symbols in this today and, like I said, maybe butterflies and crows and monkeys and snakes all mean something very different to you and that is completely correct for your experience and that is completely correct for your experience. With all that, what comes to mind for you? That's all for today's card. For more insights and to see pictures of the cards, you can find me on Instagram and YouTube . I'll see you in the next episode, thank you.
