The Cardcast
The Cardcast is a quiet exploration of life, one oracle card at a time. In each episode, we pull a single card and reflect on how its message weaves through the everyday — the moments, questions, and patterns that shape our world. No predictions, no prescriptions — just space to notice, connect, and listen in. Whether you're card-curious or card-devoted, come sit with the symbols.
The Cardcast
Earthworm
In today's episode, I talk about the Earthworm oracle card. I share the symbolism and meaning of the card and relate it to the world around and within us.

Hi there and welcome to the Cardcast. I'm so glad you're here. I'm Natasha and I'm here to share a daily practice. I love pulling an oracle card and interpreting it through the lens of my life. My goal is to help you see oracle cards as a tool for noticing and anchoring in your day. So take a deep breath, pull up a chair and let's see whatacle cards as a tool for noticing and anchoring in your day. So take a deep breath, pull up a chair and let's see what the cards have to say.
Speaker 1:Today's card is from the Illustrated Bestiary Collectible Box Set Guidance and Rituals from 36 Inspiring Animals by Maya Toll, and the card is Discover your Purpose and it's the earthworm. And on this card we see plants growing around this circle of dirt and in this dirt we see a lot of inroads or kind of cracks. In the dirt, we see some little pebbles and we see the three earth inroads or kind of cracks in the dirt, we see some little pebbles and we see the three earthworms, each kind of in their own coil, but all together kind of like a Triskelion and the Triskelion symbol with the three different elements. It can represent life, death and rebirth, body, mind and spirit, past, present, future, right, kind of those concepts that typically come in threes. And the earthworm when it also says here, discover your purpose. Earthworms, their job is to regenerate the earth. Whether it consciously knows that or not, that's what it's doing day in and day out. It knows its purpose and it's really symbolic of when you know your purpose.
Speaker 1:A lot of things are easier. You can connect your daily tasks, the things you do every day, to kind of this bigger purpose. And even though it seems like life is so much more complex and in certain ways it certainly is Some things like this can be like so simple. Every morning, I know I have a practice of not only pulling an Oracle card, but of also looking at my day and saying, okay, here are the things that I'm grateful for and here are the things I have coming up, but spending just a little bit of time also reflecting on what kind of energy is that going to need from me to be successful? And there are some things that are so obviously tied to my purpose that they seem like they will take almost no effort at all, and then I'm going to have a really great time doing them. And then there are other things that don't feel tied to my purpose but that maybe are still important to do, and I think when we can acknowledge those different pieces, it helps us show up better for both things and then also to see if there are things that we just shouldn't be doing anymore, things that we can remove from our daily activities. So it really so.
Speaker 1:This card for me really makes me think, like, what is my daily work and how does that tie to my bigger purpose? And not every tie has to be like such a solid this would hold up in a court of law type of scenario. Is it moving me in that direction or is it taking me away from that direction? So how can I kind of reflect on that?
Speaker 1:If I look at my daily work and I see that 80% of it is not moving me towards what I believe my purpose to be, I need to rebalance those scales. And it doesn't mean doing more, it doesn't mean in addition to. It really means instead of. So, instead of these things that are taking me away from it, I'm going to do these things that are moving me towards it, and what are those things that I can control and negotiate with and what are the things that I can't, and then finding the other things to make sure that there's that balance there. So, with that, what comes to mind for you? That's all for today's card. For more insights and to see pictures of the cards, you can find me on Instagram and YouTube. At the underscore card cast. I'll see you in the next episode.
