Speaker 1:

Hi there and welcome to the Cardcast. I'm so glad you're here. I'm Natasha and I'm here to share a daily practice. I love pulling an oracle card and interpreting it through the lens of my life. My goal is to help you see oracle cards as a tool for noticing and anchoring in your day. So take a deep breath, pull up a chair and let's see what the cards have to say.

Speaker 1:

Today's card is an oracle from the Illustrated Bestiary Guidance and Rituals from 36 Inspiring Animals by Maya Toll, and our card is the Asian elephant. At the top it says honor lineage. In the center we have this giant elephant and it's almost as if this elephant is our canvas, because then on this canvas, specifically in the center, is a mountain range with a path leading from it, and that could represent a spiritual journey, any kind of personal growth journey, really Overcoming challenges, because we have those peaks and those valleys of the mountains. It can signify a quest for enlightenment or wisdom, and since elephants really represent that wisdom and that remembering while being able to move forward, it could be representative of that. We also have elephants who are moving in a circle and the first thing that comes to mind for me is in the wild elephants will create an alert circle or an elephant circle, which is basically a defensive circle that they'll create around their young or they're vulnerable when they sense any danger. That circle could also be representative of our internal universe, because outside of the elephant head on this card there are mandalas. So if we think about circles and mandalas, that can be our internal universe, all the things that are occurring within Around those elephants in a circle. There's also a DNA helix and that could mean continuity and resilience, personal evolution, and outside of the personal part it can also be that interconnectedness of life and how everything, whether it's generational, whether it's across a workforce, whether it's across a community or the world, there's this interconnectedness that is just inherently there.

Speaker 1:

The path to the mountains is made up of water that is coming from the elephant's trunk, and water can be cleansing and purification Over time. It smooths things down. It can also be good luck. I believe I read somewhere that if an elephant splashes you with water it's considered good luck. So I can't really quote that one, but I know it exists. If I put all this together, there's also this element of connectedness between our past and our future and where we are in the present and kind of looking at all those different things If I step outside of the card and I think what could this mean in the real world?

Speaker 1:

What are those places on this journey that, as I'm moving through them, could I actually use more boundaries? Because there's this path that starts at the bottom of the card, from this elephant's trunk that goes up through the entire card to these mountains and then in the center, that is where this alert circle is from these elephants. So it makes me think of where can better boundaries be set. I don't necessarily need to be on the defensive, but there is something I need to be aware of and that can be just to move myself forward through a journey to get to a realization. It doesn't necessarily mean that anything negative is happening. Also, this ongoing journey that we're on, and it doesn't mean that we won't have to experience that type of thing again but grabbing onto those lessons, essentially that lineage of lessons that we're moving through so that we can get to a place where I've seen something like this before.

Speaker 1:

Maybe this is how I reacted at that time and I didn't love that. That was my reaction, so I want to change that this time. Or last time I navigated this really well. I am 100% confident I should say 99% confident that I know how to navigate this, so now I can walk into it with a lot more confidence and a different mindset. So when you hear the different symbols that I brought up today for our card, what comes up for you? Where could these symbols be impactful to look at in your own life? That's all for today's card.
