The Cardcast
The Cardcast is a quiet exploration of life, one oracle card at a time. In each episode, we pull a single card and reflect on how its message weaves through the everyday — the moments, questions, and patterns that shape our world. No predictions, no prescriptions — just space to notice, connect, and listen in. Whether you're card-curious or card-devoted, come sit with the symbols.

Hi there and welcome to the Cardcast. I'm Natasha and I'm so glad you're here. Each day I pull an oracle card and reflect on what it means in the context of everyday life. My hope is to help you use these cards as simple tools for awareness and grounding. So take a deep breath, settle in and let's see what today's card has to say. Today I'm using a card from the Shadow Work Oracle cards, and our card is Heal Through Art and it says Express your shadows in art and let healing unfold Creativity expression. When I look at the image on the card, it has an individual who's dressed in very professional attire. It looks like a blazer, it looks like you know nice workplace-type trousers and we see the back of them and they're walking towards this very colorful plumes of smoke and they're all different colors, all different shapes, and then there's also kind of some celestial type stars. This reminds me of a lot of things, one with the card being the heal through art.
Speaker 1:Many times we can get caught in kind of that corporate hamster wheel, if you will, or just the workplace right, even if it's not corporate. We can just really get caught in things that are important. They're very important to sustain a certain part of our life and we will then give it more energy than it needs or that it necessarily deserves. If we're not balancing these healing parts of us, this however you make art, whatever your art is, if you're not balancing it with those creative outlets, we can become really numb, we can become really burnt out, we can really lose our way and forget that it's these, all these elements, especially the artistic ones and the creative ones, that make us who we are, that make us the our unique perspectives and the way that we see the world. Because a writer or a painter doesn't see the world the same way, because they're looking at something through a different lens, and so when we can lean into those types of creative pursuits, it makes everything else better. So when we leave them behind, we are kind of robbing all the other areas of our life, as well as our mental health, from the benefits of these incredible things Also in the picture, because we do see the back of the individual. We do sometimes have to turn towards the light. We have to turn towards the things that will refuel us, so that we can in fact be refueled, so it's not just a oh, I do this thing and uh, you know I'll. I'll get to it when I retire, or I'll get to it on the weekends or whatever that looks like. How do we incorporate that into our everyday? How do we incorporate that into making ourselves happy, you know, providing that contentment and that joy in these little moments?
Speaker 1:I was listening to a podcast the other day and one of the podcast hosts said micro thriving, and I loved that phrase because she said it in a really funny way. But that's just. It is that there are so many things that are coming at us. There's always things going on in the world and those things impact us in all different types of way. And then there's things going on in the workplace, and then there's things going on within our families, and then there's things going on within ourselves. And so if we can find these moments of micro thriving, essentially through this art and how we bring it forward, that can really help improve our mental health. It really helps improve how we show up and essentially, it's one of those things that can consistently make us happy and we don't have to wait for it.
Speaker 1:As you think about the symbols we explored today, what comes up for you? That's it for today's card, for more reflections and a closer look at the cards themselves.
