Speaker 1:

Hi there and welcome to the Cardcast. I'm so glad you're here. I'm Natasha and I'm here to share a daily practice. I love pulling an oracle card and interpreting it through the lens of my life. My goal is to help you see oracle cards as a tool for noticing and anchoring in your day. So take a deep breath, pull up a chair and let's see what the cards have to say. Today's card is from the Illustrated Bestiary Guidance and Rituals from 36 Inspiring Animals by Maya Toll, and our card is the honeybee and it says navigate by the Sun.

Speaker 1:

Honeybees. They represent hard work and dedication and teamwork. And on this card what we see is in the center you have this big flower, then we have all these zigzag movements right outside of that flower and then we have the honeycomb, kind of creating a frame for us on the card. What I appreciate about the symbolism here is that bees, when they're looking for flowers, they fly a zigzag pattern so they can find pollen and then, once they find it, they go back home and tell the others. So on the card, we have that flower in the center. They use the zigzag pattern to find it. They go back to their hive where they let the others know that hey, there's this abundance of opportunity in this other place.

Speaker 1:

Bees, famously, have incredibly accurate internal compasses. They seem to be all over the place. Right that zigzag, they're all over the place. Then they find what they are looking for. They can head straight back. And I think this brings up this Sometimes we can feel like our minds are all over the place.

Speaker 1:

I know I feel that way sometimes, where you're just like is this the thought, Is this the direction, is this the thing that I need to be following? Sometimes we need to let our brains do that for a little bit. Just let it zigzag, let it go to all these different pieces. It's kind of like your own private brainstorming session, right? Like no idea is a bad idea. So if we let it zigzag not forever but for a while then we'll find the thing that we were actually looking for. Then we'll find the thing that we were actually looking for, and once we find that thing, we'll be able to hone in and bring others along on the journey.

Speaker 1:

But not everybody needs to necessarily be involved in the zigzag part of our journey. They can know. Once we're at kind of a more, once we have found the flower, that's when we'll share that piece Also on this card. The zigzag kind of branches out from the flower. It looks a little bit like a sun and the sun is, you know, representative of expansiveness, of moving energy, of joy.

Speaker 1:

And so sometimes I think, when I am kind of stuck in that place where I'm zigzagging mentally, knowing that I'm going to get to that place where it breaks in my favor and I figured out the thing, there is that expansiveness I'm really glad that I let myself bounce to all these different things to get here, because all those different pieces ultimately made up what the final result was. Then that mental buzzing calms and I'm able to say, yep, here's the thing, and I can get you back there very quickly. You don't have to go on that mental journey, we just went on. So when you hear the different symbols and things I brought up today, what comes to mind for you? That's all for today's card.
