Speaker 1:

Hi there and welcome to the Cardcast. I'm Natasha and I'm so glad you're here. Each day I pull an oracle card and reflect on what it means in the context of everyday life. My hope is to help you use these cards as simple tools for awareness and grounding. So take a deep breath, settle in and let's see what today's card has to say. Breath, settle in and let's see what today's card has to say.

Speaker 1:

Our card today is a tarot card from the Candle in the Cave Tarot and we have the Page of Wands. The Page of Wands classically represents exploration and excitement and being open-minded to different things and having that curiosity. On the card we see an individual who is holding a staff. It's very celebratory. In the background, kind of far off in the background, you can see that there's a mountain range, indicating that, yes, it is the start of potentially, an adventure, or an adventure could be on the horizon.

Speaker 1:

What I appreciate about the energy of this card, if you will, is that it's very creative. It's very enthusiastic and confident and courageous All those things that go along with that exploration and curious mindset. This is always an exciting card, I think, to draw because it encourages me to look at those places where maybe I do have some energy around them, maybe I am excited about them, but I'm probably putting them on the back burner for some reason, and that can be any reason. Maybe other work tasks are taking over, and it's just a season where that needs more of my attention. It could be that sometimes I'll just get an idea and I'm like that's a great idea, I definitely want to do that idea, and then I don't do that idea. I really just praise myself for having the idea, as if that is bringing the full idea to fruition. This card, though, really encourages you to not only celebrate that creativity, but how do I actually bring it into play? Am I not doing it? Because it's new, it's too new, and I just don't have the confidence to believe that I can do that thing. I believe it was Pippi Longstocking who said I've never done that before, so I think I should definitely be able to do that.

Speaker 1:

Sometimes we can think, oh, I need all this expertise, or I need I need these different certifications, or I have to take a class, or I have to do all these things there. All these conditions have to take a class, or I have to do all these things, all these conditions have to be met before I can start to do this thing, and our own experiences likely and then many experiences from across the world have shown us that that's not necessarily the case. We can just jump into something that we're excited about. It also represents that open-mindedness. So if I'm thinking about my life in the places where maybe I'm not being open-minded, maybe I am stuck in a fixed mindset because of the situation and it feels familiar in a way that I've experienced negatively previously, maybe it's that I am not in a place of balance where I have the ability to reframe different things.

Speaker 1:

Maybe my resilience is a little bit depleted, and so it also makes me consider where do I need to be more open-minded, and never assume that I know anyone's intentions. It's just about how do I navigate through this to make sure that I am being as open as possible so we can get to the best end result. Whether that's a work thing, whether that's a in your personal life thing, that open-mindedness is key to getting through and to the other side of a lot of different things. So, with this celebratory figure of the page of wands, I would invite you to think about where are the places that you're pretty excited about something and maybe you haven't taken a step yet, but what's exciting to you right now? That's it for today's card. For more reflections and a closer look at the cards themselves, you can find me on Instagram, tiktok and YouTube at the underscore CardCast.
