The Cardcast
The Cardcast is a quiet exploration of life, one oracle card at a time. In each episode, we pull a single card and reflect on how its message weaves through the everyday — the moments, questions, and patterns that shape our world. No predictions, no prescriptions — just space to notice, connect, and listen in. Whether you're card-curious or card-devoted, come sit with the symbols.
The Cardcast
Lion
Today's oracle card features the Lion from the Beasties Oracle deck, exploring symbolism of leadership, strength, and how our actions resonate far beyond our immediate circle.
• Lions represent balanced leadership where every member has value
• The lion's mane symbolizes our energetic aura and presence
• Fire symbolism represents creation, exploration, and burning away what no longer serves us
• A lion's roar travels five miles not due to volume but because of resonance
• Our words and actions create ripple effects throughout our families, workspaces, and communities
• True leadership involves knowing when to push forward and when to create space for rest
• Different aspects of lion symbolism can help reframe daily challenges

Hi there and welcome to the Cardcast. I'm Natasha and I'm so glad you're here. Each day I pull an oracle card and reflect on what it means in the context of everyday life. My hope is to help you use these cards as simple tools for awareness and grounding. So take a deep breath, settle in and let's see what today's card has to say. Settle in and let's see what today's card has to say. Today we have an Oracle card from the Beasties Oracle by Rage Create and our card is the Lion.
Speaker 1:Immediately, when I see a lion, the first thing that comes to my mind is leadership. You just have the lion who leads the pride and everybody has their different roles, but everyone is essentially cared for and respected the same. So there's that immediate. Whether I see a lion with a large mane or I see a lioness who is finding food and leading that aspect of life, they just really represent leadership to me. Classically, lions also represent strength and aura you know they've got that big mane. It's very much like their aura all around them and intelligence. Also on the card there is the symbol for fire, and fire being creation and exploration and adventure, burning away the things that we no longer need and that no longer serve us, lighting our path for the way forward. I also learned that a lion's roar can actually be heard up to five miles away, and it's not because it's so loud, it's because it's resonant. So if I think about all of the different pieces that I've just shared so far from this card the lion, the leadership, that aura and strength, and then this resonance our actions and words and thoughts have ripple effects, whether those ripple effects occur within our families, within our workspaces, within our communities the way that we show up, the way that we behave, the way that we speak is felt by others. So if I think also back to that aspect of leadership that lions remind me of, leaders know discernment. They know when and where to use these different words and different phrases, and when to push harder and then when to let up and make sure people have the space they need to rebuild, or to recharge, if you will, for kind of that next round of intensity.
Speaker 1:And that strength comes in a lot of different forms. So there's a lot of different elements of leadership and strength, not only in just the imagery of a lion, but also in how they interact with one another in nature. Different animals, of course, can represent different things to different people. So, based on that, what does a lion represent to you? When you think of a lion, what words, what other images come to mind? And then can you use some of those words and images to show up differently in your day or to reframe something in your day to make it a little bit easier to navigate through and get to the other side of that's it for today's card.
