The Cardcast
The Cardcast is a quiet exploration of life, one oracle card at a time. In each episode, we pull a single card and reflect on how its message weaves through the everyday — the moments, questions, and patterns that shape our world. No predictions, no prescriptions — just space to notice, connect, and listen in. Whether you're card-curious or card-devoted, come sit with the symbols.
The Cardcast
Crow's Feet
Today's oracle card from the Alchemist Oracle is Crow's Feet, featuring a bottle filled with crow's feet, a perched crow, and the symbol for mercury, representing transformation between different states of being.
• Crow's feet represent the lines beside our eyes from years of smiling – a transformation and new state of being that not everyone gets to experience
• Crows symbolize transformation, intelligence, and wisdom while maintaining a playful nature
• The mercury symbol represents transformation and fluidity between different states of being
• We can trust our own intelligence and lived experience during times of transformation
• Play and joy look different at different life stages but remain important throughout all transformations
• Today's reflection question: Where are you transforming, and can you find opportunities for play even within serious situations?

Hi there and welcome to the Cardcast. I'm Natasha and I'm so glad you're here. Each day, I pull an oracle card and reflect on it as a tool for awareness and grounding. So take a deep breath, settle in and let's see what today's card has to say. Today's card is from the Alchemist Oracle and we have crow's feet, and on our card we have a bottle that is filled with crow's feet and there's a crow perched on top, and then in the back there is the symbol for mercury. So we'll start with mercury, which represents transformation and fluidity and the connection between these different states of being. And I like this for this card because when I think of crow's feet, I think some of us also think of those lines we get beside our eyes from smiling so much throughout our lives, and so when we have the opportunity to have crow's feet, it is this different state of being from being younger to being a bit older, and I think that's a really incredible journey. Not everybody gets to have that opportunity. So in looking at that, it's this new state of being that's represented by this card.
Speaker 1:Crows are also representative of transformation and they are intelligence and wisdom, and what I really appreciate about crows is that they have a really playful nature. They're some of the smartest animals and they will engage with one another and they remember things and they'll play games and they'll engage with one another and they remember things and they'll play games and they'll bring you gifts. So they have this really beautiful playful nature. So I think this card, for me, is really pointing to throughout these different states of being, throughout these different things that are happening in my life, in our lives, where we are transforming and we need to change or we need to show up a different way, we can trust our own smarts, that intelligence of the crow. We can trust that because we've earned the experience that we have. It is, in fact, our lived experience and so with that lived experience, we can really trust this next evolution.
Speaker 1:And then also, with how playful crows are, to remember that it doesn't mean that we become this emotionless, quiet, older person who people just come to for very specific types of wisdom, who people just come to for very specific types of wisdom. We can always be playful. We can always find that joy and remember that play and joy look different at different stages of our lives, but no matter what transformation we're going through, no matter what the state of being currently is or we're evolving into, to remember that play is always really important and is part of what makes up the whole package of our transformation and of who we are. So today I would ask you to think about where are those places where I'm transforming, where, even when it gets a bit serious and it gets a bit tense, can I just take a breath and is there an opportunity for some levity or some play within those spaces as well? That's it for today's card.
